Kabiru Adjoto is new Edo House Speaker

The Edo State House of Assembly  has elected  Hon Kabiru Adjoto as new Speaker.

He represents the Akoko-Edo 1Constituency.

His election as new speaker was shortly after the former Speaker, Hon.  Justin Okonoboh was removed by 19 of the 24-member House of Assembly.

After several failed impeachment plots, the speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Justin Okonoboh, was yesterday morning impeached by members of the Assembly.

Okonoboh was accused by his colleagues of converting the Assembly to his personal property.
