Alhaji Tofa, who appealed to the police high command, including the Federal and Kano State Governments, to continue to provide the Command, with logistics and equipment to combat crimes, which he believed would propel the officers to put in their best in the fight against the current security challenges in the state.

While appreciating the efforts of the police in the state over the recent seizure of truckload of dangerous and illegal drugs as well as apprehending the owner, the elders insisted that they looked forward to the full application of the rule of law against the culprits.

They insisted that as parents in the state, they would not fold their arms and allow a cast of bad characters to infiltrate the ranks of their youths with a view to exposing them to dangerous cultures and norms.

They applauded the police commissioner for his consistent efforts aimed at wiping out criminals from the state

Responding, CP Yusuf expressed gratitude to the elders for the visit , describing it visit as ‘unprecedented and a morale boost’.

He informed the delegation of the arrest of a drug dealer who had imported illegal drugs worth millions of Naira adding that the suspect would soon be charged to court.
