Lagos NIPR to address education challenges at 4th stakeholders’ confab

Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), yesterday announced plans to address the challenge of education at the fourth stakeholders’ conference.
This edition of the conference; a bridge-building initiative to interact and proffer solutions to the socio, political and economic challenges plaguing the nation, entitled: Media, Communication and the Challenge of Quality Education for National Development, will hold on August 29, in Lagos.
Speaking at a briefing in Lagos, the Lead Strategist, Addefort Limited, Olabamiji Adeleye, said the future of a nation is a function of the quality of education obtainable in the society and that there is need for a deliberate effort to engage key stakeholders, including the media and communication practitioners for better strategy on how the quality of education can be enhanced. He said this year’s edition would have key public influencers in attendance.
“The Founder, Silverbird Group, Ben Bruce, is expected to deliver the conference lecture. Other eminent presenters expected include the Minster of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who will be speaking on the paper: Strategies for Revamping Nigeria’s Educational System for National Development. Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, is also expected to deliver a paper on: Bridging the Nation’s Education Gap in the 21st Century. The Chairman, Governing Board, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, is expected to chair the session,” he said.
Earlier, Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Mr. Olusegun McMedal, said the institute is concerned about the quality of education and is poised to beam the klieg light on the malady plaguing the sector.
