Ogun APGA backs Ike Oye national exco
…Passes vote of confidence on Obiano as National Leader
From: Laide Raheem, Abeokuta
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ogun State chapter, has declared its support for the Victor Ike Oye-led national executive of the party.
It also expressed vote of confidence on the Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, as the national leader of APGA.
The position of APGA in the state was contained in a release jointly signed by the state chairman, Augustine Coker and state secretary, Babatunde Senkale, and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Abeokuta.
The party, which further dissociated itself from any form of any recognition of Martin Agbaso as the national chairman of APGA, claimed all available records did not show he belonged to the party submitting “We in Ogun State cannot and should not be associated with illegalities arising from the unconstitutional take-over of power”.
It further added: “Ogun State APGA once more unequivocally rejects all forms of recognition and association with Martin Agbaso and his cohorts, who are nothing but agents of destabilisation and disorderliness, and the inordinate ambition of any group other than that of Chief Victor Ike Oye as the substantive leader and national chairman”.
