Six feared killed in fresh Boko Haram attack on Madagali community

Suspected members of Boko Haram insurgents were reported to have attacked Mildu town of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing about six people and dislodging members of the village who ran into nearby villages escaping for safety.

The attack was said to have happened at around 10:0 .pm and 12 midnight, on Tuesday.

However, it was gathered that the attack was quickly repelled by the military working with the vigilante and hunters groups. A member of the suspected Boko Haram insurgents, Adamawa State commissioner of information and strategy, Ahmed Sajoh, confirmed.

He that said he was yet to ascertain the humanitarian situation in the area as members of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) had been deployed to Mildu to assess the humanitarian situation following the security breech.

Sajoh said, “The state is yet to receive a comprehensive report of the damage because the residents of the community have ran into nearby villages for safety.”

An eyewitnesses, however, confirmed to Daily Sun that about eight people have been killed in the attack.
