With ayurvedic medicines diabetes poses no serious threat – Atuchukwu

By Gilbert Ekezie

Diabetes is a disease that occurs when ones blood glucose or sugar is too high. Obviously, blood glucose is human’s main source of energy and comes from the food we eat. Also, insulin a hormone made by the pancreas, helps glucose from food get into the body cells, to be used for energy. Sometimes the body does not make enough insulin or does not use insulin well. Then, glucose stays in the blood and does not reach the cells.

After some time, the excess glucose in the blood begins to cause diabetes, a health problem. However, the good news is that the Chief Executive Officer of AKO Group of Companies, Mr Obiora Atuchukwu, has revealed that no matter how serious the diabetes is, steps could be taken to manage it and the diabetic person can stay healthy.

He said sometimes people call diabetes “a touch of sugar” or “borderline diabetes.” These terms suggest that someone does not really have diabetes or has a less serious case.

Atuchukwu noted that if one has Type 1 diabetes, it means that the body is no longer making insulin. In this case, the immune system attacks and destroys the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. “Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, although it can appear at any age. People with Type 1 diabetes need to take insulin every day to stay alive.”

On the other hand, if person has Type 2diabetes, this indicates that his body does not make use of insulin well. Type 2 diabetes can be developed at any age, even during childhood. “This type of diabetes occurs most often in middle-aged and older people. Type 2 is the most common type of diabetes. We also have gestational diabetes that develops in some women during pregnancy. Most of the time, this type of diabetes goes away after the baby is born. However, if one has had gestational diabetes, she has a greater chance of developing Type 2 diabetes, later in life. Sometimes diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy is actually Type 2 diabetes.

Atuchukwu explained that every case of diabetes, be it Type 1, Type 2 or gestational diabetes is serious. But with Indian Ayurvedic medicines like Dykure Herbal Capsules and Diabiz Herbal Tea, the various diabetes threats can be handled with ease, provided the diabetic person adheres strictly to the prescribed dosages of the two medications. Atuchukwu, whose firm is the sole marketer of Dykure and Diabiz in Africa, further explained that the Indian herbal formulations have made remarkable achievements in the fight against diabetes which has killed so many people in the past and therefore advised both local, state and federal governments to purchase large quantities of both medicines and distribute o various hospitals so that many who do not have access to them could benefit.
